What’s the most watched music video on the web? It’s actually hard to say right now. As of today at 6pm ET , both videos had about 245 million views across the VEVO platform, so we’re keeping an eye on this one. Which video will be the web’s most-watched? Stay tuned!
On September 14th, Big Sean will be Finally Famous, as proclaimed by the title of his debut album. Having been working his way through the blogs, landing on magazine covers, and releasing music online, he’s here to let people know he’s not stopping now in his new video for “What You Doin?”
Big Sean was signed to Kanye West‘s label G.O.O.D. Music/Island Def Jam in 2008 at the age of 20. He was discovered by Mr. West at a local Detroit radio station where he performed a non-stop freestyle, to the point where Kanye decided to put him on his label roster. With a story like this, you know Big Sean is no stranger to hard work.
In the video, Big Sean can be seen draped in the freshest new styles from Ambush chains to BBC clothing, surrounded by beautiful girls who like to party while never losing himself in his environment as he delivers some of the most clever punchlines and one liners. Continuing his creative video treatments like his first, Getcha Some, this video has a very psychedelic atmosphere as Big Sean can be seen serenading a mermaid, flying through the air in a convertible and at one point stating “I’m Living Out my Dreams, Don’t You Dare hit that alarm clock!”. Whatever Big Sean is doing, it seems to be working in this video.
