From her fashion-centric wardrobe-rotating video for “Booty Bounce” to the fittingly colorless choices for “In The Dark“, it’s no surprise that Dev has an enviable style all her own. And, with a little bit of studs here and a few girly touches there, we couldn’t wait to bust into her wardrobe for our Stylized series to see what she has up her sleeve. (Literally.)

Between tops, bangles, frilly dresses and even some whackadoo shoes, we even saw her picking out a dress she wore in this lil’ LIFT introduction video. To share the wealth and the incredibly smooth fashion choices, here’s a breakdown on the five main facets to how Dev gets her look:

1. Sheer. The lovely LIFT hit maker picked up a see-through blouse at the beginning of the session, and a few moments later, already had it on. A buttoned blouse is too business-y, but one that’s breezy, light and sheer for days? Perfection.

2. Girly with an edge. With her gorgeous smile, edgy haircut and sweet-as-pie personality, Dev’s the perfect match between a rebel and a sweetheart. Her kohl-rimmed eyes are in enviable proportion, her sleeve of tattoos includes a gorgeous flower at the top, and her heavy, dark outfits are always paired with the right bit of bling. Looks like you can take the girl out of the leather jacket, but you can’t take the leather jacket outta the girl.

3. Big honkin’ jewelry. Not many people can pull of humongous door-knockers or big glitzy baubles atop an already show-stopping outfit, but leave it to this one to dial the notch on the glitzy scale all the way up to a 10, while pairing it all with casual clothing to balance out the bling.

4. Risk-taking. Her mix-and-match mentality has always made some kooky-chic combinations, but in her latest video for “In The Dark”, Dev was supposed to be mostly nude while wearing a bra in one of the scenes, but “thought it would be cooler if they used their hands” and sported her birthday suit instead. Badass.

5. Sunglasses. Now, this is one PSA we might actually pay attention to — the songwriter recommends to the rest of us ladies to pop on a pair if we’re feeling too lazy to put makeup on. With a multitude of glammed-out pairs, we’re pretty sure she’s wearing them for fashion’s sake and not to cover up a debilitating hangover, but either way, if we can look like that when we sport ‘em, game on.
