It’s been a good few days for Chris Brown. Not only did his new monster single “Turn Up The Music” drop amid wildfire fanfare, he just broke one billion views for his videos across the VEVO platform.
From the backflips in “Yeah 3X” to the epic “Look At Me Now,” Breezy has always proven that he’s got the voice for iconic songs, as well as some of the best clips in hip-hop. Fans are still figuring out if he’ll be attending the 2012 Grammy Awards, but with three potential wins on the line, including a Best Rap Song nod for his game-changing collaboration with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, don’t be surprised if he comes strolling down the red carpet on February 12.
VEVO has plans to connect with Mr. B this week in L.A., where we’ll be going behind the scenes of his new video shoot for “Turn Up The Music.” You guys will be the first know what happens when we chat him up, so stay tuned for updates on what we find out.
With Rihanna hitting two billion cumulative video plays and Nicki Minaj rocking a record-setting 4.8 million views of “Stupid Hoe” on premiere day, the VEVO Hall of Fame is filling up quickly. The clip for Brown’s latest track drops soon and will likely be a sitewide smash, but ’til then, enjoy our tip of the hat to the young master with a playlist of his best and most impressive videos.
